Hi Friends! I truly forgot how much I love poetry and language. The other day, in the midst of a gray rainstorm, I lit a candle and pulled all of the poetry books off my bookshelf - I found a cozy corner by the window and just indulged in words. I even revisited my NYU assigned copy of “Letters To A Young Poet” and there was almost immediately a quote that jumped off the page and spoke to me… “For the creative artist there is no poverty - nothing is insignificant or unimportant”.
I then dissolved into words of Neruda, Seamus Haney, Siri Hustvedt and others… It was divine.
If you are feeling bored or listless, indulge in the juiciness of poetry - it won’t disappoint!
Next stop Shakespeare - Oh, how I’ve missed Will.
