    NOTE: We will be in a recording style studio with keyboard set up for the KEYBOARDIST and a mic and mic stand for the LEADSINGERS. Please prepare the song cuts concert style and have a lot of fun with it!

  2. SIDE:

  3. OPTIONAL - There will be a drum set in the room! If you happen to be a LEADSINGER with some drum experience, we welcome drumming.

You may be asked to return later in the day (4pm-5:30pm) for a final callback worksession. Please let me know in advance if you will not be able to make that time frame, so I can alert the director.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please work on this material with the idea of matching the energy and sound of the Carpenters. We don’t necessarily want an imitation, but do try to embody the feel of their style.

The Carpenters Songbook celebrates the timeless sound of their songs, bringing their beloved hits to life with stunning vocals, rich arrangements, and nostalgic narrative storytelling that honors their enduring legacy.

SEEKING:

[LEAD SINGER] (Female, 20s-30s) Strong singer/actor with the ability to sound like Karen Carpenter. Must be comfortable as the featured performer in a concert style format while embodying the energy of Karen. Mezzo-Soprano contemporary mix in the style of Karen Carpenter.

[LEAD KEYBOARDIST] (Male, 20s-30s) Keyboardist/Singer in the style of Richard Carpenter. Actor should feel comfortable addressing the audience.
