We’re thrilled about your interest in the STAGES St. Louis 2026 Season!
In New York City, we will be auditioning only for Come From Away and Guys & Dolls. We will not be seeing performers for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in NYC since it will be cast with St. Louis local talent.
For Come From Away, we are collecting self-tapes in advance of in-person callbacks, which are scheduled for March 12, March 13, and March 16 in NYC.
For Guys & Dolls, the audition process will be entirely in person March 17th-March 20th in NYC.
If you have received a self-tape request for COME FROM AWAY or an appointment for GUYS & DOLLS, please carefully review the instructions below regarding preparation and submission.
COME FROM AWAY
(Required Accents/Dialects are listed below each character for your reference)
For the initial self-tape prepare:
-Slate: Name, Height, Union Status & Location. And please let us know in your slate if you ARE or ARE NOT available for the in-person callbacks set for 3/12, 3/13 & 3/16.
-Song cut of your choice in the style of the show. You may sing from the show, if you like, but it is NOT required for the initial self-tape.
-Pick one side in your packet. We only need ONE for this initial tape!
If you know you are NOT available to attend the in-person callbacks, but would like to stay in consideration, tape the FULL packet for this initial submission.
NOTE: If you have been selected to tape for more than one track because you submitted for more than one track, please just pick the ONE track that you resonate with most of all to submit a tape for! We will be considering you for all things you are right for, so don’t make yourself cray by taping a whole lot of material. Save yourself the stress!
For In-Person Callbacks prepare:
If you are invited to in-person callbacks 3/12, 3/13 or 3/16 - please prepare the FULL packet of material - sides and songs!

GUYS AND DOLLS
Style Note for Guys and Dolls
We’re aiming for a more contemporary, jazz-inflected, swung approach to some of the music—one that hints at a grittier New York City atmosphere while maintaining a vibrant, jazzy energy. In the room, we encourage you to explore and play with the tone of the material in this spirit. As a reference point, please check out the 1976 production of the show.

If you do NOT have a song cut included in your packet, please prepare a song from your book in the style of the show. All material can be accessed below.
If called back on 3/20, we will be asking for the FULL packet of material.
