Hi Friends! Today IS a new day! Yesterday was rough. It felt a little like my battery had run out or my light switch had gone off. I think we need to allow for these moments - to feel a little shut off and accept this. We are all absorbing so much in our personal captivity. Be kind to yourself - live in the moment and accept those moments when you just need to retreat!

But, today, I knew I had a date with the Artistic Director of Millbrook Playhouse to chat about my time at the barn, both as an actor and in casting. David, the AD, actually directed me in a show in 2007!!! Just before I jumped on the Insta Live Chat, I took a trip down Memory Lane (as they say) and went through all my old photos from my days at Millbrook. It really brought me great joy to remember all of those fun moments. Difficult moments, at times, but over all, delightful. So many memories popped up for me that I had forgotten.

Take a moment to remember your own joyful moments doing theatre. The work is hard and long, but when those lights come up and the music starts playing….goosebumps. For theatre people, it all pays off in ways that money will never define.

The think I love about Millbrook Playhouse - the community loves it’s theatre so much and really really loves the actors that come to work in the barn. So, it wasn’t a lot of money, it was truly hard work in very hot weather, but there was so much love and support that it just made my time so magical there.

This is what we will need to find to rebuild our own industry and community. Think of how exciting it will all be when this has lifted and we all get to work again. I, personally, cannot wait.

Happy Friday, Holly
