Hi Friends! Happy Saturday from Carroll Gardens Lockdown. The dark, rainy days, like today, are definitely harder to digest than when the sun is shining all around us. On the sunny days, I have been making sure to get outside for run/walks as much as possible. Yesterday, I walked for a solid 2 and half hours (keeping my distance from others, of course!)

A week ago I was looking out my window, wishing things were not as they are when I saw this little rainbow (below). And, I thought, “How sweet! Thank you, little neighbor, for the rainbow!”

Yesterday, on my walk all through Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill and Brooklyn Heights, I started to notice rainbows everywhere. I literally felt like I was being followed by rainbows! Some were huge and filled the windows - some were small and had messages, “This Too Shall Pass” - “Do Not Worry” - “We Are All One” - “Smile”. It was pretty magical. Here’s what I discovered about the little warriors making these rainbows:

Rainbows are so inspirational and magical. They have always represented luck and hope, but have also come to stand for unity, power, inclusion and love for us all in so many ways, having been adopted as a symbol of LGBTQ community. To see a rainbow is awe-inspiring and symbolic on so many levels.

I guess I just want to express my gratitude to all the little ones in my community for reminding me that end the end of this storm, there is great potential for a rainbow for us all.

Happy gloomy Saturday. We have to believe that the rainbow isn’t that far away…
