We’re thrilled that you’ll be submitting a self-tape for WHITE CHRISTMAS at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center! Please review the instructions below carefully for your initial audition submission.

IMPORTANT: I’ve listed the full breakdown dates below for this contract. Please do NOT submit if you are not available for the rehearsal and production dates.

For your initial self-tape, please include the following:

SLATE:
Please state your name, height, current location, and union status.

REQUESTED MATERIAL:
Please prepare the full audition material for your requested role(s), available below. MP3 accompaniment tracks are included for the song selections.

YOUR CHOICE SONG:
Please also include a 16–32 bar cut of a song of your choice in the style of the show

DANCE REEL AND/OR CLIP:
For Ensemble, Swing and Ensemble/US Phil submissions, please include a full dance reel that features tap. If possible, include clips showcasing Randy Skinner-style tap choreography, as those are especially helpful. Because casting is being done remotely, it's important that we get a strong sense of your tap ability for this production. If you do not tap, please do not submit for these tracks. (Ezekiel is a non-dancing track so we do not need a dance reel for this role, but if you are submitting for that role and you have a dance reel, feel free to include it!)

EZEKIEL/US GENERAL WAVERLY (Click here to access material)

ENSEMBLE/US PHIL (Click here to access material)

ENSEMBLE/SWING (Click here to access material)
*There are no scene sides to prepare for Ensemble or Swing - only the song cut included. Please follow instructions and record it twice singing two different vocal lines!

Please reach out to me via email if you have any questions about the material - hdbauditions@gmail.com

Thank you! I’m looking forward to some holiday cheer with your submissions! - Holly:)

Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters enroute to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean” and the perennial title song, White Christmas is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages.
