Previews: May 9th and May 10th at 6pm
Performances: May 16th, 17th, 24th, 30th at 6pm and 31st at 1pm with a potential extension

Following an acclaimed run downtown, Josee Klein's hit experiential musical FALLING OUT makes its anticipated cabaret transfer. In a New York music bar, ballads of lost loves and missed opportunities float on the air. Worlds collide when a melancholic transplant meets a musician with a past.  Together they create a discordant harmony that will uncover the truths they both need to face to reshape their lives. Hailed as "so deeply felt-so exquisitely rendered" (Opening Night Reviews) and "intimate and immersive" (TheatreLife), this folk-rock musical is not to be missed."

The team of FALLING OUT is committed to diversity in casting and encourages performers of all genders, gender presentations, ethnicities, abilities, and backgrounds to submit for these roles. When a gender is included in a character description, it refers only to the gender identity and/or presentation of that character as scripted by the writer and not that of the performer.

This is a NY local project – producer cannot provide housing for the duration of the rehearsals or production.

ALEX: (20s, Female) A naive and heartbroken transplant.  A young writer on the rise. Singer/Songwriter sound – Pop-Rock Style. GUITAR AND PIANO A PLUS

ROCK: (20s-30s, Male) A recording artist with a past, trying to move forward. Rock Singer.  MUST PLAY ELECTRIC GUITAR – OTHER INSTRUMENTS A PLUS

NARRATOR/BAR OWNER/THE EX/ STUDIO EXECUTIVE: (30s-40s, All Gender Identities) This track will play multiple roles throughout the show – the bar owner hosting the open mic night, the “shadow” of the Ex, and a Studio Executive. Pop-rock/Rock sound. MUST PLAY VIOLIN

THERAPIST/OTHERS: (20s-40s, Female or Non-Binary) This track covers multiple roles throughout the show, including a highly accomplished therapist with a bold, unmistakably 'New York City' energy. Strong comedy and harmonizing skills. Pop-rock/Rock Singer. MUST PLAY KEYBOARD/PIANO – OTHER INSTRUMENTS A PLUS

THE EX/OTHERS: (20s-30s, Male or Non-Binary) Pop-Rock/ Rock Singer. Strong harmonizing skills. MUST PLAY BASS GUITAR – OTHER INSTRUMENTS A PLUS

BAND LEADER/OTHERS: (20s-30s, All Gender Identities) Experienced musician and comfortable bandleading onstage. Pop-Rock/ Rock Singer. Strong harmonizing skills.  MUST PLAY DRUMS/PERCUSSION
